Thanks to Assistant A.C.E. Rep. Jim W. for the nice scan of a 1990 ad for the park. The best part is it shows the "Rabbit" which was the parks trademark for years.

The "Balloon Launch" was built by Hugh Fellows' Thrills Inc. of Dothan, Alabama sometime during 1978. This parachute type drop ride was 122 feet tall, and since it was a carnival type attraction it needed a special permit to be transported becuase of the length of the trailer it was racked on. The rides original name was, "Ripcord",
and operated at Century 21 Shows. The ride consisted of 8 seats, and had several ride programs that could be employed. The attraction took anywhere from 6, to 8 hours to set up, and about half to take down. It operated at Magic Springs during the 1991, or 1992 season. It was removed because the ride was less than thrilling. These photocopied pictures are from the no longer in print Carousel Magazine.
